Salem, Massachusetts, 1800. Mountaineer Jason Starbuck drives into town to sell furs and fulfill his dreams. Jason falls in love with Roxana Reil. Roxana breaks up with her previous fiancé and then leaves for France to wait for Jason. Roxana's ship is attacked by pirates en route and she is sold as a slave in Morocco. Jason follows Roxana to Morocco where he must win the support of the sultan. The sultan has problems with the evil Omar Id-Din. Jason hopes by his help to locate and rescue the sultan Roxana. Meanwhile, Roxana is in conflict with Lilith, a spoiled and jealous fellow slave.
