Superman and the Mole Men plot

Reporters Clark Kent and Lois Lane arrive in a small village in Silsby to witness the drilling of the world's deepest oil well. The drill, however, disrupts the lives of an underground people living. In the evening they emerge furious, and the villagers enlist the help of Luke Benson to get them out of the way, but only Superman can prevent tragedy.
