Le Caporal Épinglé plot
"The Corporal" is a French officer who is imprisoned in a German POW camp during World War II. His first attempt to escape with his comrades Pater and Ballochet fails. On a second attempt he gets further, but is caught again. The Germans send him to a penal camp to break his will, something they almost succeed in doing. However, when he has to go to the dentist and sees his daughter, his fighting spirit is back. He goes on to hatch escape plans which, however, are thwarted time and again by the Germans.
