""I could murder her in front of your eyes and you couldn't prove it," said the master criminal to the master detective. And so the game began..."
This film is about the psychological duel between a police commissioner and a murderer. Once the policeman had to tolerate that he could not prosecute his opponent although his guilt was established for him. Years later, however, he gets another chance. Based on the novel of the same name by the Swiss writer Friedrich Dürrenmatt, who also plays a role in the film.
