John D'Angelo (Tom Skerritt) is the manager of a hamburger joint in Philadelphia. His shop is ravaged by crime, and he gathers around him a motley crew with which he tries to clear the underground of criminal elements.

Decent vigilante film, but it never reaches the level of the later made "Vigilante". The whole thing looks a bit too much like a glorified TV series. Tom Skerrit is doing quite well and there are a few "hard" scenes, but this film still lacks conviction and especially a slum atmosphere that sometimes similar films have.

Nice game of violence.
I'm always up for these kinds of movies. They are hardly made these days. Too bad because when another pokke gangster dies because of revenge in a movie, it always gives a good feeling. Tom Skerritt is cool and also looks a lot like Charles Bronson. Skerritt handles the gangsters well with his team. But still quite entertaining to watch. 3.5.

Realistically made film about a shopkeeper who is fed up with thugs robbing shops and so on and sets up a kind of vigilante.
Skerrit plays well and although the film is not always convincing, the film as a whole is quite solid.
