Very nice film, which I saw via Netflix. A good film in which the leading actress Kathryn McCormick (known from Step Up Revolution) shows again how well she can dance. Her against player Shane Harper, also shows how well he can dance. Some parts in the film are, in my opinion, a bit disappointing. (exaggerated parents) Although the storyline is very nice, and I watched with pleasure.

Dance-Off
I can usually handle dance movies, but they have to meet a few basic requirements. The movie has to have a lot of dance scenes, nice music, and a good pace. Unfortunately, Dance-Off wastes its time with a lot of unnecessary subplots, and there is far too little dancing. There is no shortage of annoying characters, and the acting is also not worth writing home about. Fortunately, the dance scenes that are in it are good, and McCormick is a nice appearance who can dance wonderfully. But the movie would have done well to throw in more dance scenes.

Dance-Off is also known as Platinum the Dance Movie. I didn't know this movie at all, and that's not so strange. There was little attention paid to the promotion and it was never in the cinema. Kathryn McCormick (Step Up 4) and Shane Harper (Happyland) play the leading roles.
I'm glad Netflix put this movie on my radar because I really enjoyed Dance-Off. It has fun and original dance routines, great actors and I laughed a lot. The story isn't super strong, but strong enough for this movie. You could see it as a kind of Pitch Perfect, Glee or Bring it On for dancers. Definitely recommended, even if you don't normally like dance movies, but did enjoy the movies mentioned in the previous sentence.
