El Corazón de la Tierra plot

In 1888, an English company becomes responsible for the exploitation of the mines in Riotinto, Spain. Kathleen, niece of the British director, and her friend Blanca witness the environmental pollution and the appalling living conditions of the workers, many of whom are children. The toxic gases affect the health of all people in the region.
