Bambi plot
"A great love story."
The deer Bambi is proclaimed "Prince of the Forest" at birth. As he gets older, Bambi befriends other animals in the forest, learns to survive and falls in love. One day, however, hunters pass by and Bambi is forced to be as brave as his father and get the other deer to safety.

“Faster! Faster, Bambi! Don't look back! Keep running! Keep running!”
Strong classic. The animation in particular still looks stunning after 70 years, and the story is for young and old. Bambi deals with serious subjects, but also has its light-hearted and humorous moments. And is still current. Especially the criticism of how we as humans deal with animals and nature is not to be missed. Also the 'circle of life' feeling, with Bambi being born, growing up, losing his mother and having children of his own, is beautifully done. Short but very powerful. And timeless.

Now that my oldest kid is slowly starting to watch TV, I'm throwing in a Disney movie this Saturday morning. Bambi has always been one of the easiest Disneys. I myself came into contact with it too late. I think I was about 8 years old and then Robin Hood and Aladdin were my favorite movies. There is much more action and humor in it and so I found Bambi mostly boring.
I now look at Bambi very differently and I can appreciate the strong sides of this animation. While my daughter loses her attention after a few minutes, I just leave the film on and regularly peek at the screen for a few moments. It is a very charming film. The storytelling style is very slow and simple. There is not really a story in it, but as a viewer you follow the developments of the deer prince Bambi. For toddlers it is a very nice film, but for everyone else the animation should be timeless. Due to the sometimes somewhat faded use of color, the forest and the heath get a very dreamy atmosphere. I immediately feel like taking a forest walk in the mist. That enchantment is further enhanced by the choir that sings high notes. As far as the drawings are concerned, Bambi is a masterpiece. What I also really like is the play between the orchestra and the animations. Certainly the rain shower is great, but also the march under the sprinting deer. A great way to introduce children to classical music. Less than 25 years later, the valuation still comes. I'll try it again with my daughter in six months.

Disney Ultra Classic. Saw it again yesterday. The beautiful fauna and flora immediately catches the eye. The use of many colors and the numerous animals that live peacefully in the forest create an idyllic scene.
The animation film goes through the four seasons, each with its own specific characteristics. The hunting season is also reviewed with its well-known consequences. Later also some exciting scenes with the hunting dogs and the forest fire.
Here again a paternalistic moral judgment that Disney is so laced with. Nice to see you again in advance!
