"For a bunch of funny friends trying to break into show business... it's a jungle out there!"
The ambitious young cat Danny leaves his hometown to go to Hollywood. He wants to build a career there as an actor. What he doesn't know is that animals in the movie world are only eligible for wordless bit parts. Danny and his friends try to change this situation. Child star Darla and her butler Max, however, see his action as a threat to Darla's career. They try to thwart his plan.
