Mediocre film in which a seductive teenage girl manipulatively intrudes into the family of her new girlfriend. A fairly typical domestic thriller as more were released in the 90s. The friendship between the two girls is well developed. However, the relationship with the girl and the two parents has been made a lot less credible. It also gets tedious pretty quickly. Sara Gilbert and especially Drew Barrymore are both well cast. The then minor Barrymore has a few daring scenes.

Drew Barrymore literally jumps off the screen in this Lolita movie. Her emphatic presence overshadows the not very special story. Mediocre.

Unfortunately I couldn't do anything with this. Yes, Drew Barrymore is a convincing femme fatale who cunningly intrudes into the Cooper family, but otherwise this was a movie-long annoyance. A bone-thin story, and above all a disturbing collection of cliché characters - the nerdy girl with no friends, the lolita, the dusty conservative family man who naturally falls for the aforementioned lolita, and the hypochondriac mother was also a bit of a noob of a character. Despite Drew Barrymore scoring another point, I was glad when this thing ended.
