Fly Away Home plot
Amy (Anna Paquin) loses her mother in a car accident and is taken to his farm by her father Thomas (Jeff Daniels), inventor and artist. There, bulldozers begin to break down the forest near the farm. Amy rescues a nest of goose eggs from the clutches of the bulldozer and manages to hatch them. The goslings consider Amy their mother and follow her everywhere. But one day Amy will have to prepare them for the actual flying and the great migration south. Together with her father, she works on a special plane and embarks on the exciting journey to bring the geese to their wintering place.

Fly Away Home is one of the most beautiful movies I've seen in ages. Jeff Daniels outdoes himself, showing off one of his better roles. The story is very nice, but I think the execution is fantastic. The moments when the girl is alone in the air with the birds say so much, and the very beautiful music makes it even more wonderful. In my eyes a very strong film, I can nevertheless imagine that some people do not think so.. I give it a well deserved 4*.

Beautiful film with beautiful nature images. The story is simple, yet beautiful and touching. Beautifully played by the then still young actress Anna Paquin. These days I always watch her in the wonderful series "True Blood". By the way, there are nature images of her in it

I really think this is a wonderful movie. It is based on a true story, although here the leading role is played by teenage girl Anna Paquin. It's also nice to see father and daughter who are estranged from each other grow back together through the care for the geese. Truly touchingly beautiful. The extras on the DVD are also very interesting.
