It is not entirely surprising that this title also appears among the Amityville series, but director Evan Jacobs turns it into a truly questionable piece of junk. A man ends up in an alternate universe where his surroundings have changed. A pile of junk as well as medium-height garden walls prevent his escape, and from that moment on, as a viewer, you witness someone walking around a blandly furnished house and often talking to himself. It is rare for a film with such a funny premise to be executed so cheaply, but Amityville Backrooms crowns itself one of the weaker entries in the series, and that says a lot.
