Yu Huo Fen Qin plot

The naive, uneducated, and immature 19-year-old Ah Shek has never been away from home and has never worked, except to help his father. When his father, a fisherman, falls ill and can no longer support the family, Ah Shek becomes the family's breadwinner. His father previously did business with the wealthy Mr. Liu, who now happens to be looking for a second servant for his sprawling, remote country house. The job offers free room and board and consists of gardening, helping the crippled Mr. Liu get around, assisting their elderly maid, and helping Liu's younger wife, Kit-Mun, with errands and other chores. An unhealthy relationship develops between Ah Shek and Kit-Mun.
