An "original" approach to an existing, true story that's been adapted into film many times. Beautifully shot and decently directed. Unfortunately, the visual effects are less successful. You can immediately see that the budget was insufficient. It makes everything a bit more unbelievable. And the acting, unfortunately, doesn't enhance the unbelievability. There's little depth in the main character's presence; it's flat, without much of a "why." It might have been intentional, but it does prevent the film from holding your attention. In short... sigh. I expected more after Summercoat. Haha, that rhymes.

The socially excluded Aike [Guus Blanken] attracts attention through social media with chemistry experiments. To maintain that attention, he takes increasingly more risks. He even manages to gain access to a nuclear power plant to obtain the resources for a potentially very dangerous experiment. Molter makes a futile attempt to add a touch of surrealism by having the online audience physically present during the making of the films, but it doesn't work. It doesn't help that the screenplay doesn't provide sufficient insight into the reasons for Aike's social status and that Blanken portrays him as a caricature.
