Champagne! plot
Patrick, an unmarried man in his fifties, has invited his friends to his bachelor party in Épernay, in the heart of the Champagne region. He hopes to relax and party with them. He also wants to introduce his future wife, Christine, to them. It soon becomes apparent that there's a lot of tension between his friends and their wives, and things aren't going well among them either. Moreover, they can't stand Patrick's future wife.

Despite the talented actors this film assembles, it's a very weak performance in my opinion. The story is very confusing and uninspiring. The film reads like a tourist-inspired commercial for the Champagne region and the craft of its champagne growers.
The arguments and recriminations between friends seem odd, especially if you also occasionally go on weekend trips with friends. If there was any tension, it wouldn't be diffused this way, I imagine.
For example, I find it unprofessional that the champagne farmer didn't anticipate the spring frost. The fire pit campaign—supported by all the friends—will save the grape harvest and restore the bond of friendship.
