The Lost Generation plot

Author Jake Barnes is in love with socialite Lady "Brett" Ashley, who has a habit of seducing men she finds attractive. When Jake's friend Robert Cohn is introduced to her, Robert is immediately drawn to her. This causes tension between the friends, but doesn't diminish Jake's love for Brett.
