Paranormal investigators Kris, Celina, and their videographer Jay expect the usual surprises when they embark on their latest case. Some background knowledge is almost essential to fully appreciate House on Eden, because then you quickly discover that director and lead actress Kris Collins is also a paranormal investigator in real life. In that respect, it's a self-aware horror film that, of course, spirals out of control towards the end. The location looks atmospheric, but Collins doesn't go much further than the usual jump scares and a bunch of unsympathetic characters who constantly get in each other's way. It's short enough, all things considered, but the plot twist is utterly ridiculous, and the final result lacks suspense.
