Shonen to Inu plot

Six months after an earthquake in Sendai City, young Kazumasa Nakagaki has lost his job. He comes across a dog named Tamon, who lost his owner in the disaster. Kazumasa decides to take Tamon in and the dog becomes attached to him and his family, but Tamon always seems to worry about something to the south. One day, while Kazumasa is involved in a dangerous incident, Tamon disappears. The dog is determined to find a boy.
