"Death runs in the family."
Just as she is about to leave for college, eighteen-year-old Stefani, who has been having horrific nightmares about dying in a tower accident in the 1960s, discovers that her dream is actually a vision of her grandmother, who thwarted Death fifty years ago. Stefani learns that her grandmother thwarted Death, and that Death has been preying on the victims of that long-ago catastrophe, killing them and then going after their children. Stefani and her family realize that their bloodline is not safe from Death, who will come at them violently and gruesomely in sequence unless someone like Stefani can find a way to stop it.

This movie starts off really well, but then it starts to slow down a bit.
CGI use is very noticeable in this film, but we could expect that.
For me the best of the series. Not that the previous films were of high quality.
It's just fun and funny to watch, but it can stop now.

The franchise that was long doomed gets yet another nail in the coffin, despite a sincere (but failed) attempt to give an original twist to the basic idea. Due to the remarkably long prologue and a dragging introduction, it takes 50 minutes before the usual far-fetched, bizarre fatal accidents are strung together. This time, death has taken several decades to claim the lives of people who escaped death, and that means that the descendants of those people also have to believe in it in order of age. Never exciting, only occasionally funny and the conspicuous use of CGI for the splatter scenes will do little for the true genre lover.

jammer maar deze vond ik niet zo goede als de vorige dat met die man en die neusring was zo voorspelbaar
en het laatste deel leek meer op een familie drama dan een horror. was gek van die film van af de eerste het was iets anders dan wat je altijd zag bij elke horror film dacht eerst zal wel niet veel zijn zoals de meeste moderne horror van deze eeuw maar toen ik hem de eerste keer zag was mijn mening anders geworden het was een waw en meteen fan maar ja zoals meestal met de vervolgen minder dan de eerste. daarom was ik ook zo nieuwsgierig naar die laatste deel maar ik had er meer van verwacht na de vele goede reviews over deze film maar helaas
