Final Destination plot

"No accidents. No coincidences. No escapes. You can't cheat death."

Student Alex sits with his class in a Boeing 747 waiting for take-off. Suddenly Alex foresees that the device will explode. He panics and is kicked off the plane with a few fellow students and their teacher. Moments later, they see 'their' aircraft taking off from the ground and turning into a fireball. Shortly afterwards, one of the survivors dies. When the next one dies, Alex begins to have a terrifying suspicion. Now suppose they were all meant to die a horrible death. That 'Death' will come for them after all. That there was nothing you could do about it. Or can you outsmart 'Death'?

The film focuses on the exciting principle of the ten little negroes. The teenage characters whose death was prevented by a chance event, are one by one still met by death. The motives of death, which are depicted here as an invisible energy field, are not discussed in the film. The background and motives of a mysterious counterforce that provides main character Alex with insights and warnings is apparently not important.

In one scene, a corner of the veil is lifted as funeral director Tony "Candyman" Todd teaches the troubled teens that death is a real force that adheres to a strict death schedule. The scene suddenly comes out of the blue and has little connection with the sensational character of the film, but at least offers some solace.

It's as if director James Wong concluded that some in-depth explanation of the mystery of death was actually desirable and that he crammed the scene somewhere at the last minute. It comes across as a bit forced and laughable, while Tony Todd seems like an inexhaustible source of wisdom, which could well have deserved a more thoughtful role in the film.

In my opinion, this is where the film's weakness lies. Lots of thrills and lots of action. And quite fun too. Yet I still had that nagging feeling. I just wanted to know a little more about the mystery of death and its enigmatic counterpart. Tony Todd returns in the sequels to Final Destination. No idea whether his role in it is of more significance and whether he brings more relief. Maybe someday I'll experience it again.

Great movie further. The murders look good and have a macabre edge. The pace is good and the tension is working. Two sympathetic main characters for empathy, surrounded by stereotypical fringe characters, who are not very annoying. Also fine.

Yes. Great entertainment.

YOU MAY GET A SECOND CHANGE AT LIVE BUT YOU CAN CHEAT DEATH because it is your FINA DESTINATION you have those special horror movies where you don't have a visible killer alla jason or michael chasing you with a knife to kill you. this way too. good horror film with action and many special effects, sometimes exaggerated, but that can't miss the fun and tension. a group of teenagers are being chased by a terrible killer who doesn't spare anyone he strikes unexpectedly anywhere or when run run first you survive but he won't let you go the second time it's you. here it starts from a series of 5 movies these makers have got it right a horror without a visible killer we get speck for our beck with this first part s the hit action but the horror fans also get enough. it's almost rare that a horror movie has action and horror in its movie and it doesn't get bored.

A title that comes up a lot at the thrift store, and slowly some curiosity had arisen. A box of DVDs received as a gift from a colleague did the rest, because that's what the trilogy was in. So... just try.

The story may be known around the Final Destination series with 'a victim' who knows through a vision what horrific awaits. In this case, Alex, who is on his way to Paris and is thrown off the plane with a few fellow students, only to be amazed to see what fate they have avoided. But is that really so...? Is 'fate' something to be avoided in this case...? It is all strange, of course, according to the authorities, so Alex is closely monitored.

I have a kind of Scream dejavu several times during the film, in other words, it actually reminds me a lot of that teenage slasher series, which is of course not strange. The cast does a reasonable job despite the fact that there are few well-known names except for Ali Larter, Kristen Cloke nice for the eye, why didn't I have such a teacher, and of course the film is full of the ingenious freak accidents that happen every now and then. to be humorous. And it doesn't even look cheap ass or fake, that's not too bad in that regard.

And so the first Final Destination is not that bad, is quite a nice film for once and is quite nicely conceived. Another plus, it doesn't take too long at all. Pretty okay is the final verdict.
