The director has some decent films to his name so that promised something. Unfortunately it doesn't all work out that well. Concept is nicely thought out. Put a creepy mysterious dressed woman in front of your door and see how that works out. I find the execution mediocre and you've seen the rare moments of fright often enough.

Ramona [Danielle Deadwyler] is still on crutches after the car accident that killed her husband [Russell Hornsby] and is trying to pick up the pieces with her son [Peyton Jackson] and daughter [Estella Kahiha] in a remote fixer-upper. A power outage makes all contact with the outside world impossible when a mysterious woman [Okwui Okpokwasili] in a black robe is found sitting motionless in front of their driveway. Ramona has no choice but to confront the woman and is thus confronted with proverbial demons from the past. Starts out as a decent mystery, but treads well-trodden paths with (a handful of) nonsensical jump scares and predictable melodrama that will certainly disappoint horror fans.

Mediocre horror drama. The story is weak. With the title and poster you actually expect a creepy mysterious horror movie, but unfortunately that is not it. It is more of a psychological drama with a small touch of horror. The beginning is okay, but as soon as the woman appears and you already have an idea where it is going, the fun is quickly gone. The ending, on the other hand, does touch the viewer a bit, I have to say honestly. Furthermore, reasonable acting. 2.0/2.5
