Kennedy, Sinatra and the Mafia plot

Frank Sinatra grew up in Hoboken, New Jersey, with loose ties to organized crime, which helped him in his musical career. John F. Kennedy came from a wealthy Catholic family with criminal connections, who supported him in his 1958 presidential campaign. When they met, Sinatra became a key figure in Kennedy's campaign, using mob connections to win the 1960 election. FBI chief J. Edgar Hoover discovered the love triangle and demanded that Kennedy cut all ties to the mob, including Sinatra.
