Alyssa has been in an intense relationship with Steven since she was a teenager. After they have a daughter together, Steven starts to show violent behavior towards the child. Alyssa sees no other way out and gives the child up for adoption. Eighteen years later, however, the girl suddenly appears on her doorstep, after which Steven starts to manipulate her.
