A messy, strange French film about a disease that begins to spread across the world, gradually merging everyone infected with everything they touch. The style is reminiscent of the work of Jeunet and Caro, particularly Delicatessen, but don't let that fool you. This is a rather dull and vague affair.

Very nice surprise.

A film that had passed me by, but by delving into the BIFFF archives, I finally stumbled upon it. It's one of those works that reveals skill and vision, and where an impressive world is created on a limited budget.

The evolution throughout the film is particularly interesting. The beginning is very lighthearted, often even colorful. The ending is quite slow and heavy, but extremely atmospheric. And yet, there's no negative atmosphere; it's all about evolution. Hopefully, it doesn't end there for Emin; impressive film.

4.5* and an extensive review
