Brûle le Sang plot

A prominent figure within the local Georgian community is murdered in the back streets of Nice. His son Tristan, who follows his calling to become an Orthodox priest, is alone with his grieving mother. Gabriel, the older brother with a turbulent past, unexpectedly appears after a long exile. Not a top film, but quite an entertaining crime film somewhere in the underworld of sun-drenched Nice. With this one, you are also suddenly aware of how to make a corpse disappear in the opening scene. The film focuses on two brothers who want answers to the death of their murdered father. One wants this in all serenity, but is swept away by the explosive character of his older brother.

What follows are raids and reprisals - an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth - only they don't realize that the two of them can't do much against the local mafia. Quite entertaining all, reasonably fast paced and certainly not badly acted. Only rather a 'twelve in a dozen film', one that unfortunately won't stick enough.
