Sophie, a young transgender filmmaker in an Australian town, is obsessed with finding a long-lost film. Meanwhile, an earthquake occurs, releasing ancient parasites that feed on hatred and violence. Sophie and her friends fight against this danger that is spreading rapidly.

A dull experiment in which it takes an exceptionally long time for anything noteworthy to happen, because director Alice Maio Mackay takes her time to flesh out the (boring) characters. T-Blockers looks fundamentally ugly and simple, with a lot of bright colors but nevertheless a starkly bare design. The cast fails to stand out, and the violence is portrayed in an exceptionally tame and soulless way. The second half tries to be somewhat original with a few poppy songs and unusual montages, but the footage gives the impression that anyone could have created this themselves with their own home camera and some torn clothes. Bonus points for Mackay at least trying to create a unique world, and I have some respect for that.
