Re-watched again today, it remains a very good exciting horror film, beautiful location in the woods, an exciting build-up when they take the wrong turn and soon the killing starts.
Also exciting in the tree house, but especially the end in the house was very exciting! The ending was very successful, it doesn't get really gore anywhere (I've seen worse).
On to a review of part 2.

Due to all kinds of mediocre sequels, you would almost forget that the now almost 20 years old original Wrong Turn is just a pretty strong horror film.
Although it is quite traditional in its structure and course, it is sometimes nail-bitingly exciting and is simply filmed very strongly. The scene where they enter the hut for the first time is the perfect atmosphere. Every now and then they play with nice shots.
Still standing this hillbilly slasher.
