Soebertono Mote plot

A portrait of priest Bert Hagendoorn, a Dutch missionary who lived in the autonomous Indonesian province of Papua for fifty years. There Hagendoorn was given the name Soebertono Mote, and he was involved in various regional community projects. Sometimes he went against the wishes of the church, for example when he advocated the use of contraceptives in the fight against the AIDS epidemic.
