I found this third part a lot better than the previous one. Everything is more balanced. This film is divided into two parts. The first tells how the hostage Qin prince was able to escape from the Zhao state with the help of some allies. This resulted in quite an intense chase. The second is about the battle in which the Qin armies want to stop the advancing Zhao army. The super general Ouki plays a bigger role here as the leader of Qin. On the positive side, the battle is more clearly described and this time you at least know what is happening on the battlefield. Of course, wannabe general Shin has a crucial role in forcing victory. The ending consists of a cliffhanger that announces a fourth film.
However, most of the characters are very annoying again. That Shin reminds me a bit of Cristiano Ronaldo. Such a go-getter who sulks like a toddler when things don't go his way and is super-motivated to win the trophy. Also that Ouki, who is praised at every opportunity, sometimes disappointed me, with that self-assured smile. As I understand it, he is also depicted that way in the manga.

The battle is again painfully lacking in realism. Knocking down ten soldiers at once with a club, jumping over lines, zigzagging between opponents as if you were playing a rugby match. It looks quite unbelievable. Quite easy how a unit of 100 men penetrates an army of 20,000 men and then kills the leader. The mix of history (the unification of China) and stylized manga action does not always work well and that imbalance is actually the weakness of the entire series.
