"Epic pearling adventure romance in glorious sun-splashed tropical settings of Thursday Island!"
Daubenney Carshott leaves London for Thursday Island in the Pacific Ocean to dive for pearls, hoping to impress Stella Raff, in whom he is interested. Once on the island, Carshott finds that he likes life as a pearl fisherman much better than his old life in London. Moreover, he is impressed by Lorna Quidley, the captain's daughter who helps him dive.
