Kysset plot

Denmark, 1913. Europe is on the eve of the First World War. Cavalry officer Anton is invited by Baron Løvensjkold to a gala dinner at his castle. A painful situation arises when Anton asks the daughter of the house to dance. This Edith appears to be paralyzed in both legs. Embarrassed, Anton returns the next day with a bouquet of flowers, after which a friendship develops, which Edith interprets differently than Anton. His feelings for her come from pity, not love.

Well, no one has seen this Danish gem yet? Am I the first again? Seen at KLM during a very long flight. Then you want to dream away in the time just before the First World War. This one stood out for me. A bit sultry. The synopsis here sums it up well. The young officer is slowly drawn into the family of the baron and his daughter. He just thinks it's a friendship and a break from the boring life in the barracks. But it's not that simple. The baron is looking for a good match for his daughter. And the girl? There's something about that, other than the fact that she's disabled. As the story progresses, more and more layers become visible and you could even speak of a kind of thriller. And then the ending. It is certainly remarkable. Although not everyone will appreciate it.
