Las Hijas plot
Two sisters travel from Costa Rica to Panama to meet their father, the man who left his family a long time ago. The two are quite different: 17-year-old Marina is spontaneous and outspoken, while 14-year-old Luna is very introverted, a character difference that regularly causes friction. Once they arrive, they are lovingly received by Mafer, a friend of their mother's.

With this film I can immediately cross the country Panama off my list. Always a bonus. The film itself wasn't entirely bad either. Not that I got all excited about it, certainly towards the end it was a bit chaotic and unstructured with the meeting with the father where I had no idea how to place it.
More of a coming of age film about two sisters, very different physically and in terms of personality, who end up in Panama and are immersed in a subculture with other young people.
Nothing earth-shattering, but also because of the short playing time quite digestible. It was not the film I expected from Panama where the decor was quite carefree and neat, just like the life of the young people.
