København Findes Ikke plot

After Ida disappeared without a trace for several months, her father comes up with the idea to retire to an empty apartment with his son and Ida's partner Sander. They have a conversation that is part interrogation, part psychotherapy and part confession. Sander's story almost seems like a ghost story and is about a young couple who slowly turn away from the outside world.

A beautiful film that calls for a chat. What is real and what is an interpretation. Recommended

An interesting film about a young couple who discovers love, with the woman Ida becoming increasingly alienated from her family. Ida disappears and the family (father and brother) ask the boyfriend Sander what exactly happened to her. Very intimidating, but it never gets bitter. You see a desperate father who wants answers to the many questions he has.

Over the last year, for example, contact with their daughter diminished considerably, only to suddenly disappear from the radar completely by also leaving Sander behind. It is not illogical that the father suspects Sander of having something to do with his daughter's disappearance. It all remains low profile. For example, there is no police at all.

The film then maps the relationship through flashbacks, what he is like, who he is and how he interacted with her. Even later it becomes clear that Ida was struggling with psychological problems, with anorexia and finally with a death wish. When you see how he guides her and even makes her disappear, you can question whether this behavior is morally acceptable. After all, what is offering help? Go along with someone's story or offer resistance? This makes Copenhagen does not exist an interesting psychological mystery.
