Comedy, it says as a genre - and perhaps, like me, that is the automatic expectation when you see Pegg's name on the poster. But that's not really it, if there is something to laugh about it is very subtle. And even then, it's the kind of laugh that feels a bit inappropriate somewhere halfway through. Yet it is certainly not a bad film - although 'drama' might be a more appropriate genre. The story is certainly interesting enough in a historical sense, with a touch of improbability and a pinch of disbelief.

It's a shame that just a little more of that wasn't found, because Pegg and Lloyd play brilliantly beautiful roles - which is not to the detriment of Driver, who is given pitifully little space. And besides the roles, the cinematography is also very beautiful. It's the kind of movie that makes you think that if the story had been left out completely it might have been a better movie.

Super nice to see Lloyd again, by the way. He is already 84, but has not lost a bit of his charisma, and his acting is almost even better than before.
