The life of Lisa, a successful television presenter, revolves around her ratings. When her mother loses her memory after a fall, she has to learn to focus on that. She goes in search of her mother Maria together with her make-up artist Fred. The three end up on a cruise ship departing for New York. They don't have a valid ticket, so they have to work for the crossing.
