What a misfire this was. Where to start. The lead actresses are downright annoying. One is always whining about her deceased husband. Of course you should show emotion but it is very much about someone who is no longer alive. We see dreams where he's in videos And then there's also a subplot that her friend cheated on the deceased man she's now stuck with.

I'm not a climber, not a Daredevil who climbs buildings. Well, I've seen "On The Roofs" on YouTube many times. You see two men there who climb the largest buildings. Think The Shanghai Tower, or tower masts, whatever the ladies in the film climb.
The men wear gloves, sturdy shoes, extra clothes for when it gets hot, and most important: parachutes. The ladies take none of that and go up the Tower as if they are going to climb a mountain. So lazy and bad writing this. Stupid blonde has convers shoes on and the other mountain climbing shoes. Blonde hadn't even scouted the tower to see if it's still in good shape. It's really too stupid to be.

And then the dialogues. That's contemporary teens about YouTube channel, taking selfies, getting likes and more. Couldn't stand it. You have the most Hilarious scares that make no sense. As if the viewer has to be startled when nothing is wrong.
There's twist in the film that makes the movie even more incredible than it already was.
Fall is the worst of the year. Shame this movie hit theaters.

After her husband James [Jeffrey Dean Morgan] is killed in a climbing expedition, Becky Connor [Grace Caroline Currey] wallows in self-pity and alcohol until her former best friend Shiloh [Virginia Gardner] persuades her to overcome her fear by taking a 2,000 foot high television tower. Going up proves to be less troublesome than going down when it breaks off and the two women get stuck on top. Wind, cold, hunger and physical limitations (with the two of them on a circular plateau with a diameter of less than two meters) seem to have little trouble in this pretty stupid thriller that, thanks to Mann's mediocre directing, will not impress even people with a fear of heights.

Haunting thriller.

The trailer made me curious. And am not disappointed.
At the beginning it all goes pretty fast, and they quickly climb the well-to-do tower.
Fortunately no extensive father and daughter line, which I was afraid of.
The view was beautifully filmed, and quite haunting.
Plot twist 1: that Hunter was dating Becky her husband. I saw it coming miles away. And plot twist 2: I didn't realize Hunter didn't survive at first, but later I got a bit suspicious. And took it more into account.
He has also already applied this to "47 Meters Down". (Which I thought long and hard about at the time, because I thought it was a bold and good move.)
But pretty well thought out to make it less predictable.

Also nice that a lot of attempts fail, and they are not saved after 4 shouts.
In the end I didn't really care anymore how they would ever get out of it alive.
Also got some sympathy for the characters. So the casting did meet my needs.
Not all realistic, but then you shouldn't go to this movie.

Worth seeing on the big screen.
Fall is a good and exciting film, which makes you chatter quite a bit.
