Isabella is an unhinged, damaged and angry young woman. When she was thirteen years old, her Italian mother died of cancer. Isabella's successful British father Frank, who keeps a secret, chose to lose himself in his work and outsourced Isabella's care and upbringing to babysitters, teachers and therapists. Many years later, he remarried to another Italian lady, Claudia. She is friendly and knows how to convince everyone to temporarily give up their work and life. For a month they go to the countryside to be closer to nature. Reluctantly, Isabella wants to uncover the secret her father has been hiding all along.
