Holy Cross Boys Primary School is located in the heart of Ardoyne, a residential area in Belfast with a not-so-fresh reputation. Drugs, crime and relentless sectarian violence manifest themselves in the knife, gun, and petrol bomb—certainly not a place to raise children. Still, eccentric school principal Kevin McArevey and his dedicated, visionary team believe they can turn the tide with philosophy. Armed with the wisdom of the old masters, the children question their parents' entrenched prejudices.
