Beautiful footage in this excellent documentary about the lives of a number of animals in the African Okavango Delta. Nothing we haven't seen before in countless similar documentaries, but everything is captured so beautifully that it is pointless to resist. This is simply very well done. Pleasant, calm narration as well.

Admittedly, the visuals are very beautiful. It remains a wonder how close the camera is to the animals and yet manages to be in the right spot every time with a beautiful and sharp shot. It makes up for a lot in this documentary, because there isn't much new to see. It covers various animal families, but always vaguely. Anyone who has already seen a few documentaries about critters will never be surprised. So, a beautiful film with little charm. I would like to see more than just beautiful images.

The Okavanga Delta in Botswana is an excellent place to show how and why animals are dependent on one another. Every animal influences living conditions, and this interconnectedness is excellently explained in this beautifully filmed documentary. A downside is the dramatized storyline, in which animals are assigned human emotions.
