Silverstar plot
Several years after her win with Whitestar, Megan runs her own equestrian center. Silverstar is the son of Whitestar. When Silverstar gallops into the woods in terror, he is found by sixteen-year-old Esmee. The two soon develop a special bond. After a fire in her stable, Megan is offered help from horse dealer Carina, but can she be trusted? Esmee finds out that strange things are happening, but nobody wants to listen to her. To save Silverstar, she sees no option but to flee with the horse. Together, Esmee and Silverstar must survive in nature.

Take two horses with personality, a charismatic teenage girl [Wendy Ruijfrok] in the lead role, a simple story about trickery and deceit with a clear dividing line between good and bad and neat pictures of horses galloping over the moors or on the beach with their riders and you get this family movie. Completely formulaic, but it is a formula that serves the target group (horse girls) at its beck and call and that parents and other family members can live with.
