Completely out of control, hysterical work that starts as a comic live stream but gradually turns into a full-blooded horror film. Nicely done and enthusiastically played by the exceptionally foul-mouthed lead actress Annie Hardy, but camera work and editing are so chaotic that it would give even Michael Bay a headache. As a result, the impact of the whole is unfortunately considerably less, although there are certainly effective moments. If you make it to the end, it's definitely worth checking out the hilarious and very inventive end credits.

Dashcam

Aside from Annie being a really, really annoying person, really, really annoying, it's a pretty good movie otherwise. It is not a found footage film, although it sometimes looks like it. Camera work is indeed chaotic, which james_cameron also says above, but I think that's part of being chased by a ''monster''. But the film was really spooky and rancid at times. The special effects looked really good too. Too bad the chat sometimes didn't work, thought it was fun to read some of the comments as the story got scarier. The end credits really made the movie complete.

Again, you don't need to watch the movie for the main character. Anti corona / vaccine, pro Trump etc etc.. There's nothing wrong with that, but she is extremely annoying about it and she tries to be funny at times when it shouldn't be. If you can put that aside and look purely at the horror aspect of the film, then this can be quite a fun film.

3 stars.

After 'Host' the second horror movie I see from Savage. Disappointed me anyway. You will of course also compare it with its "predecessor". Especially since Dashcam was praised as the scariest horror film in the early days, while it does not live up to any of this. A 'jumpscare' here and there, but above all a lot of camera shaking and swearing by the leading lady, which doesn't make it any more believable. At times I couldn't even follow what was happening and had to guess from the screams and growls. The film, unlike 'Host', did not appeal to me.
