Marquis de Marignan is a brutal womanizer who spends most of his life escaping husbands he has angered. Joseph Talineau, his faithful servant, regularly saves Marquis from disaster. But when he learns that his boss has been sleeping with his wife, he hatches a plan to publicly humiliate him.
