A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica plot
Metallica was formed in 1981 and over the next ten years grew into the largest metal band in the world. In 1991 The Black Album was released, which heralded their breakthrough with the general public. This documentary follows the band for a year and a half. The film shows the work of the band members in the studio. They also tell in interviews what it is like to play in such a popular band, but still keep both feet on the ground.
