Het Land der Vaderen plot

Documentary about two Palestinian families in Beirut. The two families fled from Israel to Beirut (Lebanon) at the end of 1948. The Hammad family, father is a butcher, Muslim, lives in a refugee camp. The Catholic Jadda family, father is a businessman, lives in a flat in the city. Relatives of both families are actively participating in the Palestinian freedom struggle. The film examines political tensions, violence and terror, but is also a film about everyday life.
