A portrait of the late Robin Williams describing what really happened to one of the greatest entertainers of all time - and what his mind was fighting against. His suicide in 2014 shocked the whole world. This documentary explores the acclaimed actor's struggle with lewy body dementia, a common form of dementia. It is a form of dementia characterized by accumulations of the protein alpha-synuclein in brain cells. These accumulations disrupt the signal transmission between the brain cells, causing various problems in cognition, behavior and movement. Williams' widow Susan Schneider Williams, among others, collaborated on the film and says her husband's wish was to make people less afraid.
