Gertie the Dinosaur plot
"The greatest animal act in the world!!!"
Winsor McCay bets another cartoonist that he can make an animation of a dinosaur. So he draws a big friendly herbivore named Gertie. He then draws a picture of a cave and announces that Gertie will come out of the cave. Gertie appears and receives various assignments from the cartoonist.
