Window Water Baby Moving plot
This avant-garde film consists of an intimate impression of the birth of a child, filmed by the father-to-be himself, Stan Brakhage. At the time, it was far from common for the father to be present at a birth, let alone to capture the most intimate details with his camera. Brakhage filmed the first contractions, the moment of birth and the cutting of the umbilical cord of his first child with his 16mm camera.
