Chip Gutchel is a bored married man. One day, he develops a dangerous addiction related to the disappearance of a child. Finally, Chip turns to the AA and tries to make amends. Years later, he becomes the sponsor of Detective Russell. When another child disappears, Russell starts an investigation.
