Iron Fists and Kung Fu Kicks plot
"How Hong Kong kicked off a cinematic revolution"
From Hong Kong to Hollywood, and from the Shaw Brothers to The Matrix, the iron fists and kung fu kicks have made blockbusters and broken barriers since the 1960s. This is the story of how the way of the dragon became a worldwide phenomenon. “Iron Fists and Kung Fu Kicks” charts the genre's unexpected path to global domination. The film collects a wealth of clips, action stars and industry figures to document everything from the competition between the Hong Kong Powerhouse studios of Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest to the art's influence on the rise of hip-hop and parkour.
