Boyz in the Wood plot
Duncan, Dean, DJ Beatroot and Ian are young delinquents who, against their will, join a camping trip in the Scottish Highlands. They are expected to work well together, provide for their food and travel to an agreed place. Besides the fact that none of them want to be here, the boys aren't exactly capable of surviving in the highlands. In addition, they are shot at along the way by a man known as The Duke.

How to make a wonderful British stoner comedy with a small budget, which also has a socially critical undertone.
And because this film does not take itself too seriously, this combination still works.
And with a playing time of less than an hour and a half, the pace remains good.
Finally another fun stoner comedy.

A few funny scenes perhaps, but I couldn't really laugh at them. Other than that it's not much, a low budget film with a crappy story and not the best acting. Not worth enough as far as I'm concerned.

Granted; Get Duked has some nice moments. I particularly enjoyed DJ beatroot's bad rap videos. Having said this, this is one of the few bright spots, because across the board Get Duked is very disappointing. Most of the jokes fall flat, and the fighters the group faces look like two amateurs. They pose no threat and make no impact. The two police officers may be even worse. The two characters that the actors try to portray are so over-the-top that it quickly starts to feel childish. I temporarily got hope when some crazy visual effects related to drug use were introduced, but far too little is done with this basically cool idea.
What remains is a film that tries to be very funny, but often just isn't. The cast also tries too hard to be found funny, resulting in a number of moments that are almost cringeworthy to watch. Too bad, because I expected much more from this.
